Photo Outing | City Trees
Photo outings are easy to do. Pick a place. Pick a time. Pick a restaurant to meet up at later. Off you go.
These outings are an easily accessible creative exercise. If we don’t have a camera, we have a smart phone. No excuses. Even if we aren’t photographers, the demands and challenges of a discipline other than our own sharpens our ability to see well, and seeing well is at the core of all creative practice.
Inspired by the short art book “CityTrees,” the theme of this outing was about trees in an urban context. Trees in a city breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen. The artist’s gift is processing the carbon dioxide of human experience and offering back the oxygen of context and meaning.
